Horse and Hound Rescue Foundation
We have no paid employees, all of our work is done through our wonderful volunteers.
Deana Allen was raised on a horse and cattle ranch from birth and grew up thinking there had to be something better out there. After leaving all she knew behind and joining the Air Force, pursing a Masters in Aeronautical Science and living the "city life" for a while, after having her twins, she couldn't think of a better way to raise them then around horses. Although her husband John is actively serving in the Navy, the couple agreed that teaching them about the lifestyle was important. Although the family already has the maximum number of dogs allowed by the city, they were able to adopt a horse, but will put off a ranch of sorts until John says its time to retire.
We are ALWAYS looking for volunteers to help transporting animals, grooming, riding, maintenance, socializing dogs and horses and any of the other never ending needs.
Nelda and her husband Larry have been breeding and raising thoroughbreds for over 30 years and are the property owners where Horse and Hound Rescue Foundation is located. Nelda and Larry's love for the animals really show as you pull through their gate, donating all of their time, land, barn, facilities, and even house to the rescue of these animals.
