As we have been in the thoroughbred industry for over 30 years, we have the expertise to help rehabilitate OTTB injuries.​

Along with our great volunteers, we start the process of retraining the horses for their next career. Careers could include jumping, eventing, western disciplines, or just a good trail horse.

Our volunteers are experienced riders in these disciplines.

What you can expect

Horse and Hound Rescue Foundation is the brain child of a dedicated group of animal lovers seeking to help find forever homes for off track Thoroughbreds. We also recognize the urgent need to help abandoned dogs and are committed to giving them a second chance as well. ​

​Our Services

• Retraining and Rehoming Off-Track Thoroughbreds – We provide a safe transition for retired racehorses, preparing them for new careers and loving homes.
• Rescuing Homeless or Abandoned Dogs – We take in dogs that have been left without a home, ensuring they receive proper care and a fresh start.
• Accepting Owner-Surrendered Dogs – When circumstances prevent owners from keeping their dogs, we work to find them a suitable new home or sanctuary at our rescue.
• Providing Shelter for Tornado Victims – In times of crisis, we offer refuge for animals displaced by tornadoes, helping them recover and find stability.

Our goal is to match each horse and dog with the perfect forever home, ensuring they receive the love and care they deserve.
